somehow along the way i got the impression that einstein wasn't a very nice guy... but for someone to be able to say something like this reflects the amount of thought he must have put into living his life.
today i went swimming with shang. there was smth so beautiful abt today's swim. all the factors just aligned and there! a brief period of aesthetic bliss. there were dark clouds at first... wind rippling the water, trees rustling; an imminent threat of rain. but when we stepped in, the water was surprisingly warm. it's amazing to feel warm when u're submerged in the water, but cold at the parts where your upper body is above the water. leisure swimming... enjoying the warmth of water all around.
and then the sun came out. joyful rays of light radiating warmth rather than heat. swimming freestyle, the air felt crisp and cool everytime i lifted my hands and head out of the water to take a breath. the sunbeams danced on the floor of the pool like incandescent watercresses - a sight to lavish whenever i was underwater.
bleh i'm like having a language block now. can't put this morning into words. so i'm left with a pale image of a memory. but i guess ephemeral beauty was never meant to be captured. after all, it's beauty lies in its transience.
